Enjoy Chinese New Year in Paris Place de la République

This year the Chinese New Year is February 8, and the symbol of 2016 is the red fire monkey. As every year, between shows, concerts and exhibitions, many festivities take place in Paris, here is a selection to discover in family:

Chinese New Year in the 3rd district

Various activities will be offered between Friday 5 and Saturday, February 13. In the order you will see the greeting with a dragon dance show on Friday evening from 6.30 pm between the Mayor of the 3rd district and the Carreau du Temple.

Still at Carreau du Temple: visit the weekend of 6 and 7 February to attend various shows, concerts, cultural events and culinary workshops. From Monday 8 to 2.30 pm, a conference of demonstration of ancestral welfare Chinese secrets. At 7 pm, a concert of the International Committee of Youth and at 7.30 pm, watch the movie “Journey to China” proposed by the Cinécaro  cinema. Back to the Mayor of the 3rd district where another music concert is held Thursday, February 11 at 7 pm, it’s proposed by the association China France Culture and the Union of Chinese scholars and students in France. The next day, at the same time, a concerts special Hip-hop and K-pop is also organized.

New Year parade of the Marais, Place de la République

You will not have to go very far from the Hotel du Nord et de l’Est to attend, the Republic Square is located within two minutes walk. The New Year parade of the Marais, also called “Spring Festival” is the most beautiful parade of France on this topic.

To see it, go to Place de la République on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 2.30 pm which will host the opening ceremony with dancing dragons and lions. The parade then borrow the Rue du Temple, rue de Bretagne, rue de Turbigo and rue Beaubourg, between the 3rd and the 4th district of Paris.

New year of the Chinese district of Paris

A must to end your weekend, The New Year parade on the Chinese district of Paris (13th). At 30 minutes by metro (line 5) or bike of the Hotel du Nord et de l’Est, be this Sunday, February 14th at 1 pm at 44 avenue d’Ivry where the parade will start.
