The closest train stations, naturally, are the Gare du Nord and the Gare de l’Est, both of which have given their names to the hotel. Located within fifteen minutes of the hotel, the Gare du Nord provides direct access to London – host of the 2012 Summer Olympic Games – via the Eurostar.

You can also continue your tour of European capital cities with a visit to Brussels in less than 1 hour and 30 minutes or Amsterdam in 3 hours and 20 minutes.

From the Gare de l’Est, you can travel to Germany and Switzerland or, slightly closer to home, to Alsace.

The Gare St. Lazare, Gare Montparnasse and Gare de Lyon train stations, all less than 30 minutes from the hotel, are served by trains from West, South and South-East regions.

Monumenta, an incredible and unrivalled event

From May 10th to June 21st, visitors can view the unique creation and experience this incredible and unrivalled event for themselves.

Last year the sculptor Anish Kapoor’s creation Léviathan was set up in the nave and attracted over 270,000 visitors over a 6 and a half week period.

It’s Daniel Buren’s turn to show off his skills at Monumenta 2012. Buren is famous for his columns in the Palais Royal courtyard and will now take on these impressive premises measuring 35m in height.

The progressive establishment of the smoking ban is a step towards the prevention of tobacco-related health issues in addition to the prevention of fires related to cigarette smoking within the hotel.

All clients, smokers and non-smokers alike, will appreciate these new measures which will also have an effect on the cleanliness of our rooms which will no longer be subject to stale smoke odours.
