A new presentation of the Hotel Nord et Est Paris in Auckland

By Hotel Nord & Est | No Comments

After his visit to Sydney and Melbourne, Mr Gineston hand to present the Hotel Nord et Est Paris in Auckland, New Zealand.

We wanted to share with you our visit to the lovely town …

Auckland is New Zealand’s biggest city and its economic powerhouse. Stretching from the wild, expansive west coast and the Tasman Sea, to the white sand beaches of the Pacific Ocean in the east, the Auckland region is a marine playground, a gateway to other parts of New Zealand, and a centre for commerce, entertainment and education.

Māori were the first sailors to settle here close to 1,000 years ago. In 1840, British colonial settlement saw Auckland chosen as New Zealand’s first capital.

The city of Auckland is based on a narrow strip of land between the Waitemata and Manukau Harbours, surrounded by hilly ranges and dormant volcano cones. Just off shore lie Waiheke and Rangitoto Islands; two of New Zealand’s top getaway destinations, just a short ferry ride from the city.

Nowadays, home to 1.4 million people from over 100 ethnicities, and from all corners of the world, Auckland is the largest and fastest growing region in New Zealand. It’s a melting pot of European, South Pacific and Asian cultures with a strong indigenous Māori heritage. This diversity offers a rich cultural and gastronomic experience.

Auckland’s islands, bush and harbours are set against the backdrop of a modern city environment providing a platform for a lifestyle that sees Auckland ranked as the fifth best city in the world for quality of life.

The best place to enjoy stunning views of the city is the 328-metre Sky Tower, the tallest building in the Southern Hemisphere. Admire the view from the observation deck or restaurants; take a walk around the perimeter or for the truly daring – bungee jump for a 192-metre thrill!

The hotel recommends restaurant Chez Imogène

By Hotel Nord & Est | No Comments
Located in the 11th District between the Republic Square and the Canal Saint Martin, our restaurant is open every day except Monday for lunch and Sunday all day, in a wooded environment as warm as friendly.
At Imogène, smiles and good humor are served each day from your arrival: natural ingredients, without which we could not perform these beautiful jobs.
If it’s good, it is no coincidence…
All ingredients used in the preparation of our pancakes and cakes are carefully chosen for their taste. The dough for pancakes and crepes are daily prepared with homemade flour and cooked only to order. Crushed tomatoes, fondue of leeks, carrot puree, salted butter caramel, chocolate sauce … Everything is homemade and it’s important for us …
Hand-crafted cider or traditional cider, are corked served in order to retain their sparkle up, organic coffee and Chouchen AOC … The beverage flavors are also in the spotlight at Imogène.

Hotel Nord et Est in Sydney to present a workshop Atout France

By Hotel Nord & Est | No Comments

That you find in Sydney today, Mr Alain Gineston, Director of Hotel Nord et Est, always very attentive to the satisfaction of its customers in Australia.

France Scholarships Australia – From 6 to 10 September 2010
Aquitaine will be guest of honor at France Awards, an event of great professional scale dedicated to France in Australia. This will be the theme of wine-tourism which will vini valued during these scholarships. Several events are planned in the cities visited (Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland):
- A workshop with tour operators and 1400 travel agents,
- Training seminars,
- A prestigious gala dinner in Sydney with 400 guests prescribers (media, TO, opinion leaders …)
- Photo exhibition highlighting the heritage wine,
- Press receptions.

The Australians expect a courteous and smiling. They are outgoing and love social contact. They expect the same thing in France. Close to nature, sports and hospitality, Australians are generally very formal, have a taste of the contact and are direct in their assessments. Epicureans and good living, they are relaxed and like one or two (even three …) glasses. France is a destination “value proposition” for them. They like to discover France by car but also in the process.
